These fluffy, tender and crispy waffles are so wonderful and easy to make that they can become a staple in your weekend routine.
Ingredients for the waffles:
- 3 eggs (size M)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 125 g soft butter, margarine or sunflower oil
- 90 g sugar
- 1 packet of anille sugar
- 150 g My.Yo yogurt
- 250 g wheat flour or gluten-free flour mix
- 2 ½ level teaspoons baking powder
- 100 ml milk or carbonated mineral water
Preparation:
- Preheat the waffle iron.
- Beat the butter or margarine in a mixing bowl with a hand mixer or food processor until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar while stirring until a soft mass is formed. Stir in the eggs on the highest setting. Then stir in the yoghurt briefly. Mix the flour or gluten-free flour mixture with the baking powder and stir in together with the milk/water on a medium setting.
- Pour the batter into the waffle iron and bake until golden brown. Allow the waffles to cool on a rack or eat them straight away.
- The waffles taste particularly delicious with honey, maple syrup, powdered sugar and a little fresh fruit.
Tip:
Finished waffles can be frozen in resealable, airtight plastic bags for up to 3 months. To reheat them, you can put them in the toaster, which works really well and makes the waffles even crispier.
